Sabey DataCenters Introduces Green Facilities at Data Center World

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 4, 2009 Contact: John Ford, Sabey DataCenters, Sabey Corporation (206) 281-8700

Seattle, Washington -- Sabey DataCenters announced today at AFCOM’s Data Center World®, located at the Paris Hotel and Convention Center show in Las Vegas Nevada, March 8 – 12, 2009 that it will introduce its latest data center developments including:

  • The Intergate.Columbia Data Center, on which ground was broken in January, 2008 near Wenatchee, Washington. Just a year later, 78% of the campus is under lease with two major tenants.
  • The newly developed SDC52 colocation space at Intergate.Seattle, Sabey Data Center’s flagship data center facility. The SDC52 space is the recipient of a Power Player’s award from Seattle City Light for its innovations in energy conservation. SDC52’s design delivers an estimated savings of 6 million kilowatt-hours annually at full build-out when compared to data centers meeting Washington State’s aggressive energy code.
  • The Intergate.Quincy Data Center located near Quincy in Eastern Washington is currently in design and will open with approximately 450,000 square feet of data center space for lease. Completion is expected in the first half of 2010.

“We are excited to realize low-cost, sustainable operating efficiencies in our unique Pacific Northwest climate,” said John Ford, Director, Technology Real Estate. “Our newest data centers exemplify the best in green technology with the scalability afforded by the latest in modular design.” Questions about leasing opportunities at any Sabey Data Center may be directed to John Ford at (206) 281-8700.
