Seattle is assuming an exciting new role as a global center for world healthcare delivery and innovation. Institutions of the first order, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Institute, the University of Washington Medical Center are creating a nucleus around which the world's finest medical and research talent is aggregating.

Swedish Medical Center, the region's largest hospital, is consolidating its cardiovascular and neuroscience specializations at the Cherry Hill Campus in Seattle, which is being re-developed in partnership with Sabey Corporation. Some of the foremost physicians and surgeons in the nation are being recruited to establish practices that will be among the best. The James Tower Life Sciences Community on the Cherry Hill Campus, was renovated, redeveloped and currently owned and managed by Sabey. It houses the Seattle Science Foundation, an integral part of a plan to extend the unique abilities of highly skilled practitioners to the entire world.

The James Tower is also home to the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, which recently appeared in the news as the scene of a dramatic medical intervention for a Saudi Arabian boy afflicted with severe and debilitating seizures.
