Many Sabey projects were created for the Boeing Company beginning in the 1970s. In fact, Sabey was at one time Boeing's largest landlord. Over time, Boeing's presence in the Seattle area evolved into one more technical and professional, and less production-oriented. Other industries emerged, particularly the internet-driven start-ups. These gave a new purpose to former manufacturing space. As the internet and digitization continue to transform communication, data centers have appeared as the next essential utility of business. Sabey is now the largest private owner of data center space on the West Coast with facilities both here and in Central Washington.
